Outlander season 5 video: Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe talk art contest

Outlander season 5 is premiering on Starz in early 2020, but in just over a month and a half, you’ll have a chance to start hearing a little bit more news all about it! After all, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are both going to be making an appearance at New York Comic-Con to go along with some other cast members … and also a lucky fan! The video HERE features Sam and Caitriona talking all about an exciting opportunity.

If you didn’t know, Starz is holding a contest where someone will have an opportunity to not only go to New York City for the big convention, but also meet the cast and have some of their said art featured. It’s a cool gift, and it is also the absolutely perfect gift for anyone in attendance. We say this as someone who often peruses artists’ alley at many a convention we go to. We also know that there are some really great artists out there within the Outlander world who are more than capable of winning the grand prize.

Even if you’re not artistically inclined (we’re in the same boat), it’s still nice to have a new video featuring the two cast members at the center of it. This is the second recent video that we’ve had from Balfe and Heughan, as they recently turned up in one discussing the anniversary of Outlander arriving on Starz in the first place and how grateful they are to every fan out there for their support for so many years. Seeing so much fan art is all the proof you need as to how passionate this community is, and we think that it is rather smart from a network point of view to do a sweepstakes like this — it keeps people drawing and being creative, and that is so important since it’s another way to make the show into more of a community.
