The Handmaid’s Tale season 4 premiere date hopes on Hulu
Let’s start things off, though, with a reminder — of course, there is going to be another season of The Handmaid’s Tale coming on Hulu! This remains one of the most-popular original series on the streaming service and beyond that, it also become an awards-show darling. In between Elisabeth Moss, Yvonne Strahovski, and a number of other cast members, it could get a lot of attention at the 2020 Emmys for season 3.
The unfortunate thing is that even though The Handmaid’s Tale is renewed, that doesn’t mean that it will be coming back with more new episodes anytime soon. At the very earliest, it won’t be back until 2020. It could even be later than that in 2021. A lot of it is going to depend heavily on when the cast and crew get the latest batch of episodes done, and we don’t think that something like this can be hurried. That’s what happens when you have a show that is of this quality.
As for how long The Handmaid’s Tale is going to last on the other side of this upcoming fourth season, that’s a question that is worthy of thinking about. For now, we don’t think that there is some crystal-clear plan as to when we should expect to say goodbye to the series; it’s really all just down to whenever there is no more story worth telling and when the cast/crew are ready to move on. We do think that the quality is still there (even if season 3’s had some controversial episodes), and you could easily go for a couple more years with this premise.
Yet, we think that everyone on The Handmaid’s Tale knows that with a show like this, the last thing that you want to do is overstay your welcome. If you do that, you could easily find yourself facing some trouble on the other side.
