Crisis On Infinite Earths schedule, Kevin Conroy playing Bruce Wayne

Crisis On Infinite Earths

There’s a lot of big news that is out there today via Crisis on Infinite Earths and beyond, and it’s all courtesy of The CW’s presence at the TCA Summer Press Tour today.

Let’s kick things off here with some of what we know at the moment — there are going to be five episodes of the epic Arrowverse crossover over the course of December/January. They will begin on Sunday, December 8 with Supergirl, and then continue into Batwoman the following day and then The Flash on December 10. All three shows are going to air at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. On Tuesday, January 14, the crossover will return with Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow airing one right after the next starting at 8:00 in order to close off the crossover altogether.

(We should note that the Legends of Tomorrow episode is not being billed as the season premiere, but rather a “special episode.” Odds are, it will be set separate from whatever story that is coming up.)

As for some other Arrowverse news that came out today via the TCA Summer Press Tour event…

More Black Lightning characters are coming – We know from yesterday that Cress Williams will be playing the title character in the crossover, and he will be joined by some other characters, as well, from his show.

Other additions – You’ve already heard about LaMonica Garrett plus the return of Elizabeth Tulloch, Tyler Hoechlin, and Jon Cryer. What you may not have heard about was that Kevin Conroy, famous for playing the awesome animated version of Batman, is going to play an older version of Bruce Wayne from the future. Obviously, The CW is making this crossover as special as humanly possible.

There is another Arrowverse show coming – Following the end of Arrow, it’s clear that the network wants another superhero show for next season that will immediately be in the universe. The easiest idea to suggest is one featuring the next generation of Arrow characters, but in doing that, would you be able to cross them over with characters in the present? That’s a good question. Personally, we’re hoping that we could be seeing a version of Green Lantern given how long-dormant that character has been.

What do you think about the idea of another Arrowverse show, and are you excited for the Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover event to happen? Be sure to share in the comments. (The CW.)
