America’s Got Talent sneak peek: Edson & Leon do Up-inspired routine!
We’ve seen strength acts over the past few years showcase amazing athleticism in front of the judges, but there’s something so different about what these two men are able to bring to the table. What is it? Think in terms of background. Leon is 84 years old! We know that AGT does sometimes grade acts on a scale — these two will be judged differently than 20-year olds doing the same thing — but it is nonetheless incredible that these two are able to do what they do. We couldn’t do what they do and we’re decades younger than either one of them!

One of the things that is so fun about the sneak peek below from Tuesday’s episode is that the two are leaning hardcore into one of the things Julianne Hough said: That Leon looked like the old man from Up. In between the costumes and the balloons, the entire act is themed around the Disney movie — awkward as that may be, given that this show airs on a rival network in NBC. From here, the two give you some of their trademark strength-act stunts and they are impressive. We’ve seen better technical ones on America’s Got Talent this season, but none of those were admittedly done by a man in his eighties. He holds out the tricks and does what he can to make a case for the live shows.
Will Edson & Leon make it there? We’re not sure that they will just because there are a lot of other strong acts in the competition. Still, we’re glad that they made it this far and we got a chance to see what they can do one more time on the stage.
