Bring the Funny: Kids These Days, Ali Siddiq, Drennon Davis, more

Andrea Lopez – She’s going to make a lot of headlines for her Kourtney Kardashian impression, which is really good without question. We hope that there are some chances to hear a few other things from her, and also see her do more of it within an actual live setting. What she did at the end of Chrissy Teigen is a good example of that.
Kids These Days – We don’t get to see too many great sketch groups outside of Saturday Night Live, so we always give credit to them for going on a show like this and supplying the sort of energy that they did. We’re not sure we’ve ever seen this much done with a hot dog on a primetime show! What’s so great about a sketch group like this is that you know that if they come back, they will do something completely different.
Ali Siddiq – The final performer of the night. He’s a gone who honed his sense of humor in the barbershop and he had a style where he pushed jokes to the limit. He kicked things off discussing how much bigger Mother’s Day than Father’s Day, which is ignored by a lot of people — including some retailers that are out there. As Jeff Foxxworthy said, Ali was totally in control. He thought out every single part of his set and it worked.
All three of the acts that we’ve discussed in this article are moving forward, but so are Calvin Evans, Kristin Key, and then Drennon Davis, a guy who seemed to be legitimately shocked that he was there in the first place. Maybe the questions about his future are what makes him so exciting.
