Big Little Lies season 2 episode 7 (finale) spoilers: Is this the end?
So how is the present of Big Little Lies going to be tied together? Interestingly, it could be by diving even more into the past. Some of it stems back to things that happened at the end of season 1. Meanwhile, some other stuff stems back to when Perry was a young boy. There are reasons why he became the way that he was; monsters are not born out of nowhere. Often, they are made and are a product of pain.
Below, CarterMatt has the official Big Little Lies season 2 episode 7 synopsis with more news as to what’s coming:
Celeste (Nicole Kidman) questions Mary Louise (Meryl Streep) about a tragic event from Perry’s childhood; Madeline (Reese Witherspoon) worries their lie is tearing the Monterey Five apart.
This second season has been all about dealing with trauma and trying to find the right way to handle it. The lie is engulfing all of them in their own way, as they’ve all tried to look towards other things as a distraction. They want to imagine their world being one without so much dangling over them at just about every possible turn.
Since Big Little Lies was never conceived to be some sort of long-form series, we don’t imagine that there will be a dramatic cliffhanger in the closing seconds. This should tie together most loose ends — or, if nothing else, give you whatever end impression that you’re left to have from this series.
