Queen of the South season 4 episode 7 preview: Teresa’s day off
Here’s another way to think about “Amores Perros” — this is the installment in which Teresa’s past comes back to haunt her (again). Check out the full Queen of the South season 4 episode 7 synopsis for more:
On her day off, Teresa is hunted by a sicario from her previous life while on the road.
For those of you out there who do feel like season 4 is a little bit too detached from everything that we’ve had a chance to see so far, maybe this episode is a way in which that narrative can be changed a little bit. We don’t think that the writers are suddenly going to forget about what’s happening in New Orleans with the characters at present. It’s going to be more of a balancing act to make sure that every part of the story still matters.
Here’s what we are left to wonder — is there going to be a way for Teresa to get away from this new, returning threat? Could this be a problem that actually lasts for a certain period of time? One of the things that we’ve come to know about Queen of the South over time is this — they don’t do a whole lot of standalone stories. Either this is going to be a thread that continues over coming episodes, or it’s going to be so darn special of an episode that you’ll be thinking about it for many weeks on end. Either way, we’re psyched with whatever the writers are planning. We’re at the halfway point of the season now and that’s where things could easily accelerate.
