Queen of the South season 4 episode 4 sneak peek: Teresa’s question

Through a few episodes of Queen of the South season 4, we understand what Eddie means to the show, and to Teresa. She represents something in her life that she doesn’t have elsewhere, and that is a breath of fresh air. He seems like a normal guy! He’s a musician, he cares about her, and he’s down for some sweeping romantic gestures.

Here’s where things get a little bit tricky: Our own Queen of the South muscle memory. It’s hard to forget about all of the surprise betrayals we’ve seen in the past. It’s hard not be worried about chaos. As of right now, we don’t trust Eddie. We’re like the protective family member to Teresa who gets nervous anytime someone new turns up in her life! He’s gotta prove himself to be a worthy guy of her affection and that he’s going to say and do the right thing in order to make her happy.

Through the sneak peek below, it does feel like he’s doing the right thing. He’s spending the morning with her! They’re having some moments like a normal couple! Let’s hope that things don’t turn horrible! The question we have is this: If we can’t trust Eddie, who is he working for? Why would he do something so sinister? Her life is already hard enough dealing with some of the other troubles that she is in New Orleans, in between the Judge and trying to deal with Kelly Anne being around. She’s gotta pick and choose her moments to breathe right now since she doesn’t have many.

Consider this episode one where Teresa does lay some of the groundwork for what she wants her operation to be — and where she learns more who her real friends are. If Eddie does turn out to be bad, this could be where we figure that out. There’s so much to be excited for in terms of drama, but we don’t want to see her hurt in the process. She’s been through so much already! One way or another, we know that Teresa will persevere — it’s hard to imagine Queen of the South without its actual queen on the throne.
