Claws season 3 episode 3 preview: The quest to stop Mac and Melba

Claws

Just what sort of danger are Desna and the rest of her nail-salon team? Moving into Claws season 3 episode 3, things are gonna get even crazier. We’ve seen now how brutal Mac and Melba are — and how willing they are to shut people up who they think are coming after them. There’s also a much larger conspiracy now oh-so-clearly afoot, and it’s one that seems to run up all the way to the Governor. That’s a crazy thing to think about, but that doesn’t make it any less true.

Throughout next week’s episode, you’re going to end up seeing what Desna and the rest of the crew are going to do to try and take them down a peg. It’s going to take most likely some patience to get to the bottom of their plot — and they gotta be patient! That’s just not the easiest thing to do for them sometimes.

Below, CarterMatt offers up the official Claws season 3 episode 3 synopsis with some more news on what’s ahead:

After discovering Mac (Michael Horse) and Melba’s (Rebecca Creskoff) surprise gift in the salon, Desna (Niecy Nash) and the crew go to their “fundraiser” to retrieve information to use against them.

So what else could be coming?

We don’t want to forget about Jenn’s storyline, mostly because the ramifications of it could be devastating. While she’s obviously not a perfect person, her work life and her personal life are two different things. She doesn’t deserve what EJ is pulling on her in order to get custody of his daughter — though she also does have Bryce to blame for getting physical and giving EJ some evidence that he can use against her. He’s all about just finding a way to wreck her, and he’s going to stop more than likely at nothing in order to ensure that he gets some of what he wants.

Elsewhere, we’ll see if Uncle Daddy actually stays committed to his idea of turning the clinic into something that actually helps people. Can Virginia actually continue to be such a positive influence? It’s been a weird turnaround for her so far this season, as she’s gone from that person who was shot by Toby in the finale to someone who actually seems to be reasonably zen and at peace with the world around her. We don’t exactly know how long she can keep something like that up, but it’s certainly a fascinating thing to behold. It’s a different arc for her, just like Polly’s getting a different crash course in business — not the kinda stuff she fashioned herself doing when she hopped on board the casino operation!
