Blue Bloods video: Donnie Wahlberg, cast welcome Eddie to the ‘family’
In the video below, you can see Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, and others talk about what advice they’d have for Eddie moving forward — much of it is silly and lighthearted, as the two do their best to inform her how to best handle dinner-table arguments. Donnie claims that he’s had the one happy marriage that we had a chance to see on the show … even though it had a horribly-sad ending. Moynahan, meanwhile, joked that her character is divorced so maybe she’s not the best person to ask for advice.
Of course, even after watching this video there are probably still questions worth wondering, including whether or not Jamie and Eddie actually got married. Judging from the way CBS is promoting it, we do think that they did tie the knot … though we still don’t quite understand why that wasn’t at the end of the family. The finale may be one of the most-criticized episodes in the history of the show, mostly because it was so hyped over the final weeks of the season only to end up feeling reasonably flat. There wasn’t a lot of footage in here of the actual ceremony, and there are also a ton of photos for the wedding out there that don’t feel like they were a part of the canon story we got in the wedding.
It’s far too early to tell if we get to see any more of the wedding in the season 10 premiere, but at the moment we kind of doubt it. While we can’t exactly say that we’re surprised about it, Blue Bloods is the sort of show that does have a tendency to skip over some of the most-romantic moments within a given season. For example, we didn’t exactly get Jamie and Eddie’s engagement on the show, and for whatever reason this is a series that likes to have certain big moments happen offscreen.
Ultimately, Blue Bloods season 10 is going to premiere this September on CBS, so maybe come this summer, we’ll get a little bit more information just what could be coming up in this and some other storylines. Filming for this show usually resumes at some point in July, and we have a hard time thinking that this upcoming season is going to be any different.
