Riverdale season 3 episode 22 (finale) spoilers: ‘Survive the Night’

Next week, Riverdale season 3 episode 22 is coming, and given that it’s the finale, you gotta expect big stuff. “Survive the Night” is a story where almost every little thing is going to come to a head, and you better believe that there’s a chance some people could die over the course of it. Of course, the operate word there is could, since it’s certainly possible that this is just all traditional Riverdale drama-building that they do to get people on edge.

So how could people die? Well, a lot of that could have to do with what happens at The Farm, but at the same time, also whatever Veronica, Archie, Betty, and Veronica find. For those of you who wish that the four characters did have a little bit more together, this is going to be that opportunity. It’s some of the Riverdale gang all in full force, hopefully getting a chance to see some awesome stuff come out. We know already that there’s going to be a season 4 so, with that in mind, the #1 question has to just be the optimal way that a cliffhanger is going to be set up for it.

Don’t you have to imagine that there’s going to be a big cliffhanger? That’s just the sort of thing that Riverdale does tend to do.

THE FINAL QUEST – After receiving mysterious invitations, Archie (KJ Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) band together to confront the evils of their past once and for all. Meanwhile, chaos ensues at The Farm after Edgar (guest star Chad Michael Murray) makes a chilling announcement. Madelaine Petsch, Marisol Nichols, Madchen Amick, Mark Consuelos, Skeet Ulrich, Casey Cott and Vanessa Morgan also star. Rachel Talalay directed the episode written by Roberto Aguierra-Sacasa & Michael Grassi (#322). Original airdate 5/15/2019.

Obviously, one of the big priorities within the finale is to tie up loose ends, but we do think the show needs to also cast an eye towards the future. This is a high school series, after all, and before too long, you’re going to see some of these characters in a position where they have to move on to the next phase of their lives. What happens then? Obviously, we don’t think that The CW wants to get rid of Riverdale anytime soon but, at the same time, they have to start considering some of this stuff.
