NBC’s ‘Community’ season 4 spoilers: A look to the possible end
Is the end of “Community” already upon us? Not exactly; however, at the point that the show does return after being pushed back from its supposed October 19 launch, there are only going to be thirteen episodes up before we will supposedly be at the end. NBC has been careful to never admit that the show will end after season 4, but the implications are still there for many given that Greendale is a four-year school, and seemingly this would be the time that everyone would graduate.
So what does one of the show’s new bosses have to say about this idea? Speaking as a part of a chat with TVLine, David Guarascio explained that with the 13th episode this season, the goal is really the same as it has been with many other season-enders for the show in presenting something that is a definite ending, while at the same time potentially leaving the door open for something still to happen down the road should NBC decide to give them a little bit more to work with:
“Whatever last episode we air this year, we want to be satisfying as a season ender and series ender. We’ll hear about more episodes before we shoot 13, so if we do get some more, we can plan for it. Let’s say we have a finale in mind now, and we find out soon enough if we get to make more; we can then slot them in and just move those over a little bit. The trick will be finding a way that it feels like we’re organically building toward the end. It’s a little tricky, but it’s the situation.”
As for some of you who are currently wondering with great interest as to whether or not “Community” will be back before the end of the year, we saw this: if it’s not here come November, it’ll be 2013 before we see it on the air again. Our guess is that if “Animal Practice” and “Guys with Kids” bottom out more than they have, that this show and “Whitney” could be a replacement to that lineup. It’s either that or they pair “Community” new show “1600 Penn” on Wednesdays, and keep “Whitney” on Fridays alongside “Guys with Kids” or a struggling show like “Up All Night.”
What’s your gut tell you about this being the end of “Community” as we know it?

If Community Season 4 does not air, I will commit to being evil. I am Evil Danica_123, We are the Evil Fan-base, and we have but one Evil Goal; return somehow to the prime timeline, the one where you aired season 4, then we will destroy the good version of ourselves and reclaim our proper lives. You have been warned.
