Blindspot (Jane & Weller) vs. Lucifer (Lucifer & Chloe) – Crime Dynamic Duos 2019
Within today’s piece, we come offering the second half of the final four. There are two more duos that are ready and willing to fight for their way to the finish line. One of them in Jane & Weller of Blindspot is working to get to their very first finale in Dynamic Duos. Meanwhile, the other in Lucifer & Chloe from Lucifer is going to put forth their best effort to snag the title again – they are the reigning champs of this competition! We anticipate this showdown being one that is incredibly intense, and isn’t that a big part of the reason why it could be so entertaining?
If you’ve been around for past editions of Crime Dynamic Duos, then you know a thing or two about how this works — at the bottom of this article is a poll to vote for who you want to see advance! One duo will, and at the end of the month, we’ll officially crown the champion in all of their glory.
How voting works – Vote however often you would like! (Technical instructions for multiple voting can be found right above the poll.) We will keep this poll open until Friday, April 26 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time. That is when the final round is going to begin, and you are going to see the winner here face off against either Donna & Harvey from Suits or Wynonna & Nicole from Wynonna Earp. Despite Dynamic Duos being the theme of the tournament, it is rather cool to see so much variety this year!
You can see the full bracket (including start dates for each individual round) in the graphic at the top of this article.
Jane & Weller, Blindspot (#4 seed) – We’re starting to get used to these two as being a regular top-tier finisher in Dynamic Duos after performing fairly well last year — the question now becomes whether or not they can get over the hump and emerge as victorious in the final show down? We know that the passion is there — perhaps more than the passion has ever been there online before! When a show doesn’t have a next season renewal yet, you see fans rally and band together in a loving, powerful way to show everyone what their show means to them, and that is precisely what’s happening here.
Consider Jane & Weller (a.k.a. Jeller) making it to the final four as a testament to the work that Jaimie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton have done on the show over the years, coupled with also the storytelling that has really brought these two characters back to each other in a wonderful way. This is a relationship that has certainly had its ebbs and flows, but they’re now in lockstep more in terms of their life and also their career. Given the threats ahead at the end of this season, they’re going to need each other!
Lucifer & Chloe, Lucifer (#1 seed) – Now, let’s head over and take a larger look at the reigning champions, who have certainly done quite a bit of fantastic work in this tournament in the past. This is a show that went through what Blindspot is going through now last year, and that’s caused these fans to come together in a wonderful way and celebrate more of what makes these characters so compelling to watch.
With Lucifer & Chloe (you may also call them Deckerstar), a big part of their appeal comes from their sense of humor, how they care about each other, and also how no matter the obstacle, these two do constantly find a way to solve the case. Sometimes, there’s chaos — and sometimes, there are wounds here that are self-inflicted on Lucifer’s part since his antics have a tendency to cause some trouble. Yet, he’s shown now that he is no ordinary devil — he does care about Chloe and he respects the work that she does. Also, he’s found an odd bit of fulfillment in it.
Happy voting everyone!
