Blue Bloods (Jamie & Eddie) vs. NCIS: New Orleans (Sebastian & Gregorio) – Crime Dynamic Duos 2019
Welcome to CarterMatt’s Crime Dynamic Duos for 2019! The goal for this tournament is pretty easy to explain: Recognizing some of the best crime fighters in all of television. The word “crimefighter” can at times have a loose interpretation, but for the sake of this tournament, we’re referring to it mostly as cops, lawyers, or investigators who do their best to take down some pretty bad people and fight to help others. They’re the sort of characters you typically admire, and they have an aspirational quality to them along with them being entertaining.
For this particular battle, we’re talking CBS crime shows in Blue Bloods and NCIS: New Orleans — a standby for this tournament taking part against two who haven’t quite been here before. This is going to be a fun battle since we know that Jamie & Eddie have their fair share of fans … but what about Sebastian & Gregorio? Who’s out there for them? We’re stoked to find that out, and to see the results of this battle as a whole.
If you’ve been around for past editions of Crime Dynamic Duos, then you know a thing or two about how this works — at the bottom of this article is a poll to vote for who you want to see advance! One duo will, and at the end of the month, we’ll officially crown the champion in all of their glory.
How voting works – Vote however often you would like! (Technical instructions for multiple voting can be found right above the poll.) We will keep this poll open until Wednesday, April 17 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time. The winner here is going to face off against either Reid & JJ of Criminal Minds or Junior & Tani of Hawaii Five-0 — it’s only fitting that we close things off with as many different CBS shows as possible.

The competitors
Jamie & Eddie, Blue Bloods (#3 seed) – If you were to ask many people, they’ll tell you that these two are among the best ‘ships of any crime show out there. They started as partners, they became so much more, and while they’re not purely partners anymore, they do still work together with regularity and clearly also love each other very much. Their success as cops is a testament to their passion, and also their ability to sometimes see things that other cops don’t see as they push towards being the best that they possibly can.
Jamie & Eddie have been within the Crime Dynamic Duos tournament for a while now and while they’ve never won, they’ve certainly progressed to later rounds before. Is this going to be the year that they make it over the hump and into the Dynamic Duos promised land? We’ll have to see just where things unfold from here…
Sebastian & Gregorio, NCIS: New Orleans (#6 seed) – We’ve long enjoyed it whenever these two characters worked together, but for a good while it was different than it is right now. The roommate aspect of their relationship has only added to the fun since they’re such opposites and that means that they’re willing to go at it with each other over just about everything. There’s a lot of constant comedy in many of their scenes, but that doesn’t diminish from the fact that they are also excellent agents, hard-working people who’ve shown, time and time again, a real knack for making sure that the job gets done.
To date, NCIS: New Orleans hasn’t had the best track record in the world in Dynamic Duos, so maybe this is the year that this changes. We wish Tammy and Sebastian the best of luck as they try things out!
