NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 21: Hannah’s husband helps Pride
To date, we’ve mostly interpreted Ryan as a mild-mannered guy who is out mostly to have a normal life, preferably with the woman he loves. But is there more to this man than first meets the eye? Is there a larger secret that is bubbling underneath the surface with him? That’s something that we’re getting a better sense of now as we get into this episode entitled “Trust Me.” You wouldn’t think that someone like Ryan would have information on Apollyon. After all, this group’s been hidden underneath layers of whispers, and it hasn’t exactly been easy for Pride to get information on them — even though he clearly wants to avenge his father. Who knew that he would be able to get some help from someone who is right under his nose? That seems to be what’s coming within this episode, as we’re going to be seeing potentially a new side of this Ryan character.
Below, CarterMatt offers up the official NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 21 synopsis with some more insight regarding what lies ahead:
“Trust Me” – Tammy is convinced that a con man committed the hit-and-run murder of a Navy doctor, even though the evidence shows otherwise. Also, unbeknownst to Hannah, her husband, Ryan Porter (Hal Ozsan), approaches Pride with new intel on Apollyon, the underground spy network responsible for murdering his father, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, April 23 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
How does Ryan have the info?
That’s the #1 question we’ve got spinning around in our noggin since on the surface, he doesn’t seem like the sort to lurk around Apollyon. Either he’s more attached to that organization than anyone knows, or he just found himself stumbling into something from mistake. It’s also curious that he’d go to Pride himself without his wife even knowing, which suggests that whatever information he’s got is info that he doesn’t want Hannah to know about. Will Pride really keep a secret from her, especially since he’s come to know and care about her so much more than he has Ryan? That’s something more to wonder about as we get closer to this episode coming on the air.
By the time this installment does come up, it’s certainly possible that Pride’s just happy to get some new info from someone. After all, it’s gotta be frustrating to dig around time and time again, and end up with nothing but dust. The only opportunity that he’s had to look into Apollyon would’ve required him to abandon his friends and family, and that’s just not something that he’s been altogether game to do.
