The Orville, The Resident, Last Man Standing finale dates confirmed
Today, the network officially confirmed when some of their shows are going off the air and by and large, most of it is within the window you would expect — late April or early May. We’ve got a little more commentary to inject here and there as we continue this journey, but we’ll do that as we continue to move along here. As a quick reminder, all of the times listed are Eastern.
Thursday, April 25
8:00 – Gotham
9:00 – The Orville
The one part of this Thursday schedule that’s a little crazy is that Fox could’ve easily ended these two shows earlier in the spring and then put another pair of shows on the air. They just decided not to, so maybe they’ll figure out a way to be a tad more economical moving forward.
Monday, May 6
8:00 – The Resident
Wednesday, May 8
8:00 – Empire
9:00 – STAR
This may be the earliest we’ve seen these two shows end in a while, but they also tend to start back a little later in the spring than they did this time around.
Friday, May 10
8:00 – Last Man Standing
8:30 – The Cool Kids
9:00 – Proven Innocent
In the case of the latter show, we’re likely talking about the series finale. Out of all of the series we’re talking about here, it’s the one most likely to not find its way back for another season.
Sunday, May 12
8:00 – The Simpsons
8:30 – Bob’s Burgers
9:00 – Family Guy
Monday, May 13
8:00 – 911
Note the special time here — it’s certainly confusing why the network is pushing it up an hour, other than that they can now given that The Resident is over.
Tuesday, May 21
9:00 – Mental Samurai
Tuesday, June 4
8:00 – MasterChef Junior (two hours)
Fun thing about this one — the Junior series will actually be airing while the flagship version of MasterChef is starting to rattle off some of its own new episodes. It’s really not that often that you see this play out on Fox where the two versions of the franchise overlap like this.
