The Masked Singer: Margaret Cho revealed under Poodle Mask!

Tonight, The Masked Singer officially revealed the identity of the Poodle — and there was at least some surprise here! The reveals of Tommy Chong and Terry Bradshaw were fairly predictable, but there were some good questions regarding the identity tonight. The clues were more or less all over the map.

So, who was actually behind the mask? In the closing seconds, it was officially revealed that it was none other than … not Judge Judy! (Sorry, Robin Thicke.) Instead, it was comedienne Margaret Cho under the mask. This was the guess of most of the internet in advance, even though she wasn’t someone who was really hunted at too much on the show.

What does make this particular reveal so funny is that there were so many people who should have known it was Margaret — most notably Ken Jeong, who worked with her on his sitcom Dr. Ken and looks to her as one of the reasons why he became a comedian in the first place. This was worth some good laughs, and we’re glad that The Masked Singer does still have the capacity to pull a few fastballs and actually surprise some of the judges by the time we get to the end of every episode.

Of course, with the Poodle gone we’re now left with a roster that includes the Bee, the Alien, the Rabbit, and the Raven. Of these four, the one that is probably the most mysterious is the Alien, but we do think that there are a lot of clues at this point suggesting that it is one of the Jacksons. This is where the show is somewhat a blessing and a curse — it’s fun to go through the journey with these masked singers, but not as thrilling when you can figure out everyone so far in advance.

We’ll be back next week, though, and with that we’ll commence speculation once more with the remaining four singers on that show.
