After all, are these two characters among the most-likable in the entire series? They’re certainly up there, and they absolutely do have a fun chemistry when they are around each other. We think Brainy values the connection that they share and also that, in turn, he can be at least a little more of himself around her. There’s an awkwardness and a charm about them that is certainly worth exploring.
So what are they doing in the photo above? Based on the outfits and also the setting, it is fair to say that they are on some sort of date. Then, there’s also the question of the binder and what’s being done with that. Is there information in there that is meant to help Nia in some capacity? Is this some sort of training and way to understand her abilities better? It feels like there are a lot of opportunities at the show’s disposal at present and perhaps more than anything, what we’re hoping for through this story is an opportunity to understand these two characters better. Maybe that comes from the vantage point of their powers, or maybe we are saying that more in terms of their relationship. This is going to be a fun journey for the two of them coming up, which this show probably does need given that there is a lot of serious stuff also happening around them. Even though Agent Liberty may be imprisoned, we have a hard time thinking that the story involving him is over and done with. Meanwhile, we also do have questions still regarding Manchester Black and whatever Lena Luthor is going to be up to. We didn’t see that character in the fall finale but there is still some important stuff to explore.
Supergirl season 4 is going to return with episode 10 come Sunday, January 20 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. We’re not even at the halfway point of the season, just in case you did need some sort of larger reference point for precisely how much content we are looking to see still on the series moving forward.
