Outlander season 4 video: See Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan’s holiday greeting

One of the things that Starz has always done a great job at with Outlander is making the show feel like something that lasts year-round. Even if the series is not on the air, they find a way to still come up with unique videos and featurettes with the cast and crew. We’ve seen that the past couple of Christmases, where there have been holiday greetings featuring most of the cast even when episodes are not actually on the air.

Well, this time around, Outlander is still technically on the air — there are five more installments in season 4 left! Yet, that still is not stopping the show from releasing a fun new holiday message featuring a number of familiar faces, whether it be Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Richard Rankin, Sophie Skelton, or John Bell. It’s a short little video (which you can see below), but hopefully it does help to keep you in the holiday spirit.

While Outlander is certainly at a difficult time right now when it comes to some of the characters (it feels like an understatement to say that things are going horribly for Roger and Bree), there is a lot to appreciate as a viewer of the series. We’ve got an opportunity to get at least two more seasons beyond the current one, ratings are still good, and Balfe is nominated once more for a Golden Globe. There are also some of the most exciting episodes still to come, including a major one in which Brianna is going to meet Jamie for the first time. With most of the major characters now concentrated in the same place, there’s an opportunity for some fascinating character dynamics and stories to play out. We’re also building towards what has been described as the biggest finale in the series’ history, one that we imagine will be stuffed with drama, intrigue, and all sorts of other good stuff. We simply hope that it is worth all of the anticipation when it airs.

The next new episode of Outlander will air on Sunday, December 30, as Starz is not taking any holiday break for the show.
