The Blacklist season 6 episode 3 spoilers: A look at ‘The Pharmacist’

The Blacklist season 6 episode 3 carries with it the title of “The Pharmacist,” and it will air come Friday, January 11 at the show’s new normal 9:00 p.m. Eastern timeslot. This is, in some ways, when the series will start to establish more of its rhythm after the two-part premiere that is coming the week before. We’re anticipating a number of surprises / big reveals over the course of the first few episodes of the season, especially as the writers sort through what is in so many ways a new normal. For Liz Keen, that includes her knowing the truth about imposter Reddington and figuring out just what to do about it.

Of course, for Reddington himself it could include prison, at least based on some of the promotional photos that we’ve seen out there.

If you’re curious as to what we know about “The Pharmacist” right now, just take a look (via SpoilerTV) at the attached synopsis:

While Liz (Megan Boone) and the Task Force track a notorious underground biohacker, Red (James Spader) initiates a strategy to extricate himself from a problematic position. Meanwhile, Cooper’s (Harry Lennix) integrity is tested with a difficult choice. Ken Leung and Becky Ann Baker guest star.

From a guest-starring perspective, it’s clear that The Blacklist season 6 is still winning … not that this should really be all that much of a surprise to anyone. This series is one of the best out there when it comes to getting great character actors on board for roles. The Nathan Lane episode still remains one of our favorites!

Story-wise, there are two things that intrigue us the most about “The Pharmacist” so far in advance of it. First and foremost, it is Reddington doing whatever he can to potentially free himself from his tough position — which may very well be the inside of a jail cell. Meanwhile, we’re also excited for Harold Cooper to actually have a big story fairly early on in the season. That isn’t something that we have that many opportunities to see so early on in a season and we love a good Cooper story. We’re hoping that the writers are coming up with some interesting ways to give many of our favorite supporting characters on The Blacklist some of the spotlight in the early going, largely because that will make the overall picture of the series so much clearer in the end.
