Ray Donovan season 6 episode 8 preview: Can Ray, Sam patch things up?

What’s coming up on Ray Donovan season 6 episode 8? Well, at the center of it is a story about reparations. For Ray himself, he’s going to do just about everything that he can to fix things with Sam Winslow. He really needs to from a professional vantage point. She’s one of his best sources for gainful employment, and she’s also certainly a good person to have in his orbit in the event that things go wrong … which they almost always seem to. While Ray is reasonably successful at figuring out a way to withstand what comes his way, it never comes easy — and he gives up a little bit of his soul in the process.

So while Ray is doing his best in order to help Sam Winslow, there are some other problems that you’re going to see here, as well. Take, for example, having a chance to see the full consequences of what’s been going on with Bridget and Ray as of late.

Ray works to make things right with Sam, but she has her own ideas about controlling damage. Bunchy comes back to New York with some missing goods. Terry spends the night with someone from his past. Bridget pays the price for her father’s actions.

By the end of this episode, do we expect the entire structure of the series to change? Not just yet, but we do think we’re inching ever closer to that point. This is going to be one of the more important foundational episodes that we’re going to see, mostly because we are so close to the end of the season and we’ve already seen a lot of major developments.

By the end of this episode, are we going to see a few more surprises? You better believe it, and we also hope that there is a cliffhanger or two coming as we move towards the finale. That’s when you should start to ask questions as to whether or not we’re going to be able to see Ray stick around New York … and also whether or not we’re going to see all of our favorite characters ultimately survive some of the chaos that is swirling around them. With a show like this, we’ve certainly come to know over time that there are no guarantees!
