Outlander season 4 episode 5 sneak peek: Jamie’s sixth sense

This latest sneak peek comes courtesy of the fine folks over at W Network, who are responsible for broadcasting the show in Canada. The main subject matter of this preview is actually Brianna, even if she is not featured physically in this preview itself. Instead, it just so turns out that Jamie had a dream about her daughter, and in it managed to see some things about his daughter that Claire did not even tell him. Take, for example, that she has a birthmark that is typically covered up by the hair.
How in the world does Jamie know this? Is he suddenly clairvoyant? How we really like to think about it is like this: There is a spiritual side to Outlander that often does things that are beyond comprehension or explanation. Not everything in the world out there really needs a detailing of how or why it is possible. The thing that we like to think about when it comes to Jamie and Brianna is simply this: They have a deep connection that goes beyond mere time. Of course, we also think that this dream is emblematic of Jamie understanding on some psychological level that he may be closer to meeting his daughter than he ever has before. In the present, you are going to see Bree make some moves that could get her closer to going through the stones and heading back into the past.
In the end, be prepared here for an emotional episode through multiple timelines. What we certainly expect is that as Brianna gets closer to going back in time, and also closer to being with Jamie, it’s possible that we could end up seeing an acceleration of some of the dreams, as well. Watching this story and potential connection blossom is really just one of many things that intrigues us about the story that is coming up — this sneak peek just does a great job of scratching the surface, while offering up a nice dose of foreshadowing at the same time.
