Midnight, Texas season 2 episode 4 preview: ‘I Put a Spell on You’

Midnight, Texas season 2

As we move forward into Midnight, Texas season 2 episode 4 airing on NBC in one week’s time, we’ve got an appropriate episode title! How has this show not used “I Put a Spell on You” already? Heck, how have most shows like this not used that. There’s a part of us that wants to imagine this song playing in the background for pretty much everything that we’re going to be seeing coming up on this show.

Yet, it’s also clear that there are some pretty hard times coming in what could be, overall, a fairly-serious episode of this show. At the center of it appears to be an attack on supernatural beings within this town, which in turn could mean that some of these characters are forced to rally in order to protect them. They’re being held against their will and forced to participate in bloodsport; other than the steel-cage-match part of the episode, you could easily make an argument that this is an episode with real-world implications. We are looking towards an installment here where there are people being treated differently and even terrorized for who they are. Are many supernaturals dangerous? Absolutely, but that could be said for almost anyone. It often comes down to how you use some of what is given to you in order to help or hurt others. Many do not deserve what is happening to them.

Below, CarterMatt has the Midnight, Texas season 2 episode 4 synopsis with a little bit more information as to what is coming up next:

11/16/2018 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Friday) : The Midnighters join forces to protect a newcomer in town. With Bobo still in danger, Fiji’s forced to take desperate action to save him. Patience and Manfred bond over their relationship troubles. TV-14 L, V

This episode is going to be about, in part, characters teaming up, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t break apart near the end of the episode, either. Having a unified cause — take, for example, saving a character like Bobo — can be useful. Yet, at the same time, when that cause fades you aren’t left with a whole lot else to stand on. That’s when personalities fade and you become who you always were, which for many of these characters may not prove to be good.

Remember that if you love Midnight, Texas and want to see it stick around, the #1 thing you can to support it is continue to watch it live.
