Blindspot season 4 episode 6: A look into Weitz’s past

Blindspot season 4

Remember how we’ve been saying that Blindspot season 4 will be taking more up-close-and-personal looks at some of the series’ supporting characters? Episode 6, airing in one week’s time, is more evidence of this. What Martin Gero and the writers are looking to do within this particular episode is put more of a spotlight on Aaron Abrams and his character of Weitz. While he hasn’t been around the show as much as a Rich Dotcom, his political ties and power have long made him an integral, interesting part of this world … and that is only going to continue as the series moves along. The next new episode is arguably the most important one for him we’ve seen … but also one that puts the team in some danger.

The Blindspot season 4 episode 6 synopsis that CarterMatt has below is a good indicator of what’s coming up:

11/16/2018 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Friday) : The team is drawn into dangerous political intrigue when a tattoo points to someone from Weitz’s (Guest Star Aaron Abrams) past. Starring Sullivan Stapleton as Kurt Weller, Jaimie Alexander as Jane Doe and Remi, Rob Brown as Edgar Reade, Audrey Esparza as Tasha Zapata, Ashley Johnson as Patterson and Ennis Esmer as Rich DotCom. Also guest starring TV-14 V

There is a nice bit of nostalgia within this episode in that it does feel tattoo-focused in the way that many earlier episodes were — though on this occasion, it’s a tattoo connecting to another important nearby character rather than something a little more external. Weitz’s past may be key to better understanding the present, and you have to wonder on the other side of this mission if the character will ever be thought of the same way.

Now, we have reached the point within this article where we implore you to do one simple thing: Watch this show live! If you do consider yourself to be an enormous Blindspot fan, this is the only way in which to guarantee that there will be more seasons down the line. So far, season 4 is down a hefty margin in the ratings from where season 3 was, which in turn was down a hefty margin from season 2. It’s not the sort of trend you want to see with TV shows, and viewers are the only way to stop the metaphorical bleeding. Friday nights are a tough timeslot, but either watching live or soon after via your DVR are absolutely imperative to keeping the show around. We cannot stress it enough if you do consider yourself a Blindspot super-fan.
