Alas, there is no new episode coming up on NBC next week, with the biggest reason for that simply being that the midterm elections are coming up. That’s something that most major networks are wanting to avoid. Other than Fox at the moment, the bulk of other major television networks are going off the air and we don’t entirely blame them.
When This Is Us does return to the air come Tuesday, November 13, it will be with an installment called “Sometimes.” Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the episode at the moment — NBC has not released too much information about the episode right now, not that this is all that much of a surprise. They’re wanting to keep some of their cards close to the vest, though we do know that eventually, we’re going to have a chance to see more in terms of Jack’s history in Vietnam. We also know that there are some more personal stories coming on both Beth and Miguel, two of the supporting characters who often don’t have a story of their own.
Of course, eventually we do want some more information on the flash-forwards … especially when it comes to what’s happening with future Randall. We think that the series is going to slow-play some of this, but hopefully there will be some answers sooner rather than later. We don’t think that This Is Us is a series meant to go on forever, so there are some questions that will need to be answered.
