Riverdale season 3 episode 3 preview: Veronica’s speakeasy and opening night

Next week, Riverdale season 3 episode 3 could offer up some fun in the form of Veronica’s speakeasy. Given where certain storylines are that moment, we do think that we should take advantage of however many opportunities we can for fun. It’s something that does feel rather few and far between. Archie’s trial has received (understandably) a good bit of air time, and that’s been a downer just because it’s a hard situation to see him in.

Below, CarterMatt has the Riverdale season 3 episode 3 with some more information regarding precisely what is coming up next:

OPENING NIGHT – When a series of suspicious roadblocks threaten to delay the opening of the speakeasy, Veronica (Camila Mendes) enlists the help of Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch), Toni (Vanessa Morgan), Reggie (Charles Melton), Kevin (Casey Cott) and Josie (Ashleigh Murray) to ensure opening night goes off without a hitch. Elsewhere, Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) follow different leads to learn more about the strange incidents going on in the town. Finally, some unwanted attention forces Archie (KJ Apa) to make a difficult decision about his future. Madchen Amick, Luke Perry, Mark Consuelos and Skeet Ulrich also star. Jeff Hunt directed the episode written by Aaron Allen (#303.) Original airdate 10/24/2018.

Given that much of the original foundation for this show was about a mystery, we do appreciate the fact that Riverdale seems to be able to dive into a good mystery with Bughead at the center of it. While it’s far too early to know precisely where things are going to go here, we’re absolutely excited to see where this journey goes. (It is still too early to gauge the quality of this season overall, but we are hoping that it is something that is a little bit closer to the first season.)
