New Amsterdam episode 5 preview: A journalist tracks Max Goodwin

Do you want to know some of what’s coming on New Amsterdam episode 5? Let’s just put things this way: The spotlight will be on the hospital like never before. Of course, this seems to be something that Max Goodwin wants. He is interested in having the attention remain on the hospital throughout its progression, which does represent him taking a huge risk. If the news gets out that the hospital is on the up and up, that could drive more attention and money to the establishment. However, if things go wrong, what we could see there is a situation where the hospital’s reputation tanks and Max finds himself in the hot seat. His job status, coupled with the state of his health, are the two storylines we imagine being a major part of the series through the end of the season.

10/23/2018 (10:01PM – 11:00PM) (Tuesday) : A journalist visits New Amsterdam to shadow Max (Ryan Eggold) and learn about the hospital. Bloom (Janet Montgomery) and Reynolds (Jocko Sims) have a major disagreement after she makes a call against protocol and Kapoor (Anupam Kher) deals with issues from his past. Also starring Freema Agyeman as Dr. Helen Sharpe. Guest starring Zabryna Guevara as Dora, Jose Zuniga as Louis “Lou” Navarro, Alejandro Hernandez as Casey, Matthew Bellows as Dr. Clint Hartman, Jessica Frances Dukes as Rhonda Tewkes, Vandit Bhatt as Rohan and David Iacono as Jalen Pagan. TV-14 D, S

We don’t think that there is too much more that can be revealed via this synopsis alone, other than that the disagreement between Dr. Bloom and Dr. Reynolds could be the thing that actually brings them together. Sometimes, a little conflict can help to patch together a number of different problems.
