Arrowverse crossover will apparently feature Black Suit Superman (photo)
In a new post on Instagram (see below), series star Stephen Amell confirmed the news by sharing a photo of Tyler Hoechlin in the suit alongside himself and Grant Gustin, who appears to be very much floored by the whole thing. Grant’s a big Superman fan, so likely he’s well aware of the implications of this particular suit. It’s a costume that many fans out there expected to see in the DC Universe Justice League movie last year, and we have to say that it actually looks better to us than the actual Superman costume that we saw on Supergirl in the past.
As for how this is all going to factor into the crossover, that still remains unclear given that there is so much still about the crossover that remains up in the air and the producers really haven’t talked about how it all fits in. The most notable news that we have is that Batwoman (Ruby Rose) will be a prominent part of it, and much of this event is build-up for an eventually crossover that she could star in herself down the line. This costume may just end up being fan service, but it is nonetheless very cool and it does a great job of getting us excited for whatever else the writers have planned. We do like that just about every single one of these crossovers seems to be written as though there are no others coming up. What we mean by that is that there are some super-high stakes and it does feel like they are really throwing everything into them in hopes of having them live up to the hype.
Elseworlds is going to begin officially on December 9, though it will also air the following two days.
