The Walking Dead season 9 episode 3 preview: ‘Warning Signs’ & a disappearance
On “Warning Signs,” the various communities are going to find themselves in a place where they are questioning the future thanks in part to a disappearance that doesn’t have a lot of context around it. It’s going to happen, and then in the aftermath of that you’ll wonder both why this came about and if it is really possible to bounce back from it in the midst of bridge construction. (Who would have ever thought that a bridge was going to be so important to this particular season?

Rick’s vision for the future is threatened by a mysterious disappearance that divides the work camp where the communities are building a bridge.
Basically, this is an episode that is going to feature some of these characters scrambling once again to better understand survival … and also some of the new circumstances they find themselves facing. This episode has the potential to have some lighthearted moments in it, but the nature of this disappearance and mystery surrounding it could prove, at least in the end, to be rather overwhelming.
At least we do know this entering this episode: We’re not gearing up for Rick Grimes’ final episode. There is still a little more of a stretch until we get around to that.
