NCIS: Los Angeles, God Friended Me delayed by football; new start times

NCIS: Los Angeles

If you are excited to see NCIS: Los Angeles tonight, or of course the series premiere of God Friended Me, you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer.

Because of NFL programming tonight on CBS, the entirety of the Sunday lineup has been pushed back a little bit. If you are interested in checking out when the shows will be on the air now, take a look below! It’s not an enormous delay (think around 13 minutes from the previously-planned start time), but it is enough to be notable and leave you wondering precisely where some of your favorite shows happen to be on the air.

Will these later start times end up hurting the ratings for these shows? Potentially, but we ultimately do not foresee them being a huge factor one way or another. What we do know is that this is the reason why CBS opted to not air a new episode of Madam Secretary tonight — they did not want to air the premiere late into the night, especially since the premiere contains cameos from Hillary Clinton and some other former Secretaries of State.

We do think that there are some interesting questions when it comes to this lineup in general, mostly because God Friended Me is a new show and with that, we do have questions as to precisely what the ratings are going to be. Last year, CBS attempted to kickstart their new series Wisdom of the Crowd in the spot following 60 Minutes, but it did not end up being all that much of a ratings winner for them. It was ultimately canceled and replaced with Instinct, which at least did enough in order to score a season 2 renewal. Hopefully, we will see it premiere at midseason once more.
