The Last Kingdom season 3 coming to MCM London Con-Con; premiere date clues
In a new post on Twitter (see below), you can see some details about an upcoming appearance that the show is going to have on MCM London Comic-Con on Saturday, October 27. What is important about this? Well, there are a couple of different things. For starters, if you are in London this marks an opportunity to watch the premiere and also hear what the show’s cast and writer Stephen Butchard have to say about it. Even if you aren’t there, though, we do think that the timing of this appearance says a good bit about when season 3 will premiere.
Basically, it’s hard to do a premiere screening for a show that has already aired, especially on a streaming service in Netflix where all of the episodes air at once. It is likely that you are going to get a chance in order to see The Last Kingdom season 3 this fall, but it likely will not be until November. Our feeling is just as long as the show is out there before the holidays, there is a reason to celebrate. That gives everyone an opportunity to really dive into it and enjoy it at a time when there isn’t all that much else out there in the way of programming. Come the end of November, we tend to see things start to taper off a little bit when it comes to shows coming on the air. We want to see The Last Kingdom successful, mostly because we want to feel good about its chances at a season 4. Unfortunately, promotion has been so scarce to date that it’s hard to feel confident one way or another.
