9-1-1 season 2 episode 2 preview: The earthquake; Maddie’s first crisis

Following tonight’s premiere on Fox, we’re going to be seeing the story continue in a very big, and very dramatic, way on 9-1-1 season 2 episode 2. Tonight’s episode kicked things off with some danger and, moving forward, we’re really going to just see that escalate. The next episode will feature an earthquake, otherwise known as the sort of devastating event that can bring an entire city to its knees. Los Angeles may think that they are prepared for this, but when the quake actually strikes, so many may be in for a rude awakening. This is going to be a strange, chaotic episode with the potential for many character deaths. We don’t think that the show would do anything too dramatic for the second episode of the season, but you never know.

Below, the 9-1-1 season 2 episode 2 synopsis offers up some additional information when it comes to what lies ahead:

When a massive earthquake rocks Los Angeles, the first responders rush to rescue victims from a crumbling high-rise hotel both under the rubble and high above the ground. Athena must deal with wreckage from a collapsed freeway overpass and Maddie is thrown into the fire as she faces her first crisis as a 911 dispatcher in the all-new “7.1” Season Premiere, Pt. 2, and time period premiere episode of 9-1-1 airing Monday, Sept. 24 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. For those of you who want to know more about the Maddie character, we feel like this could be a pretty worthy way to get to know her in the context of the crisis. She’s been through a lot and, in some ways, this job may be a way to escape from some of her problems. Unfortunately, it could still prove to be more than she bargained for. At least she is surrounded by a group of great, supportive people who may show themselves to be more of that as the episode goes along.
