Emmys 2018 winners: Henry Winkler, Rachel Brosnahan, Bill Hader among winners

Emmys 2018

Want to know some of the winners for tonight’s Primetime Emmy Awards? Well, rest assured that you are in the right spot! We’re going to have some of the big winners over the course of the night below, and we do have to say that there are some early surprises. We do think that Barry is a very good show, but we didn’t necessarily think that it was going to dominate some of its categories as much as it has.

Be sure to check back over the night with more updates.

Actress in a Comedy Series – Rachel Brosnahan, The Marveous Mrs. Maisel. This is one that was fairly expecting coming in.

Writing / Directing in a Comedy Series – Amy Sherman-Palladino, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. These are technically two different awards, but she took home both and gave a pretty fantastic speech while celebrating her spoils.

Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series – Henry Winkler, Barry. How can you ever be upset about Winkler winning an Emmy? The man is a legend?

Actor in a Comedy Series – Bill Hader, Barry. As someone who first watched four episodes of the show on a plane, we can attest to this being a very good show worthy of some of this attention.

Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series – Alex Borstein, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. This was a two-show trend that we saw in this category and really, we’re not surprised in the slightest.

Supporting Actress in Limited Series / Movie – Merritt Wever, Godless. This was an incredible role, and there is no surprise here that she was brilliant.

Supporting Actor in Limited Series / Movie – Jeff Daniels, Godless. This entire speech was strange, but we loved how random it was.

Comedy Series – The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Odds are, you saw this one coming.

Actress in Limited Series / Movie – Regina King, Seven Seconds. Another reminder that Netflix shouldn’t have canceled it.

Actor in Limited Series / Movie – Darren Criss, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. A difficult role and a much-deserved reward at the end.

Supporting Actor in a Drama – Peter Dinklage, Game of Thrones. Watching him win never gets old.

Supporting Actress in a Drama – Thandie Newton, Westworld. We’re certainly not upset over this, either.

Lead Actor in a Drama – Matthew Rhys, The Americans. Consider this the upset of the night, as we managed to thwart Sterling K. Brown this year.

Lead Actress in a Drama – Claire Foy. Another upset, though a smaller one over Elizabeth Moss.

Limited Series The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. We all saw this coming.

Drama Series – Game of Thrones. Nobody saw this coming. The Handmaid’s Tale was largely shut out of the major categories!
