Chicago PD season 6 premiere spoilers: The new state of Intelligence
For starters, Alvin Olinsky is gone. This is a character whose loss will be felt dramatically across Intelligence and beyond. He was a valuable member of the team and also a good friend.
On a professional note, Olinsky’s death also means that Intelligence will be struggling to stay afloat, especially with Hank Voight also reeling from the shooting that happened in the finale. He leaves the team under-manned and with that, everyone is probably going to be on edge trying to find a way to ensure that they can get the job done. That would be easier if everyone was on the same page but, alas, they are not. There is some conflict that could come from some rather unexpected places.

Below, the Chicago PD season 6 premiere synopsis offers up some more news when it comes to what lies ahead:
09/26/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : SEASON PREMIERE – Bad heroin is causing overdoses in Chicago, and Intelligence is a man down with Voight (Jason Beghe) suspended. Antonio (Jon Seda) takes charge, but Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) undermines his authority. TV-14 D, L, V
The situation between Ruzek and Antonio is what you probably should watch entering the premiere, largely because they are both strong-willed guys who has a pretty-constant perception of what they believe to be right. Without Voight around to wrangle so many different personalities, there’s a good chance that things could get a little bit testy. Ultimately, though, we want to believe that Intelligence will keep the focus on what matters the most: The bad heroin.
