Suits season 8 episode 10 preview: The midseason finale

Suits season 8 episode 10 carries with it the title of “Managing Partner,” and there are many important things to know in advance. The main one is this: We’re gearing up for the midseason finale. This is the episode that will have to tide everyone over until the show returns to USA in the new year and if we know Suits, what that means is that the writers are going to find some sort of super-compelling way to keep us talking about the show during the hiatus.

As for how confident we are that Aaron Korsh and the writers will deliver, we are quite confident — this season has done an excellent job both in terms of capturing the spirit of the first seven seasons of Suits, but also building on it to deliver an experience that feels both familiar and also new. There are still some things that they could give us more of including Donna – Harvey moments, but more than anything we’ve enjoyed getting to know characters like Alex Williams and also Katrina Bennett after having smaller doses of them in the past:

Basically, this episode could be one of the most important episodes of the entire series given that Donna is going to flex her COO skills in a way that she may not have been forced to before prior to getting this job. She has long been the person responsible for really fixing problems behind the scenes, but she now has the opportunity to actually push forward and do so publicly in a way that leads to even more large-scale success.

One more thing that we’ll tease here is this: The midseason finale could feature Alex and Samantha doing battle to become name partner.
