Supergirl – Arrow – The Flash crossover with Batwoman gets air dates on The CW
Today, The CW confirmed that the crossover event is going to kick off on Sunday, December 9 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time with The Flash (airing on a special night), and then on Monday, December 10 at 8:00 p.m. we will have Arrow before going over to Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11 at 8:00 p.m. As previously reported, Legends of Tomorrow is not a part of the crossover this year, which we’re honestly not all that upset about given that it may be the best show that The CW has in the superhero department right now.
There is a lot of hype built around this crossover, and for good reason given that it could potentially launch the next big chapter in the Arrowverse. While we don’t get the feeling that any of the shows on the schedule are ending anytime soon, it does make some sense for the producers to keep branching out if some of these shows are successful. Black Lightning is already out there doing its own thing, as well, and if there is ever a desire to bring it further into the Arrowverse, there are easily ways to make it happen. Batwoman is one of the bigger characters that DC Comics has given up for the small screen since authorizing the Supergirl show, and it’s clear that all parties involved want to get her right. After all, there is already a Batwoman-centric show in development with former The Vampire Diaries executive producer Caroline Dries serving as the showrunner. That could premiere, provided the crossover does well, in 2019.
