Outlander notes: The latest on Sam Heughan, Graham McTavish

Outlander

Welcome to today’s edition of Outlander notes! We’ve got a few different things to discuss here, but let’s start with new regarding Sam Heughan.

First and foremost, did you know that work on his new movie Bloodshot has begun? While we cannot speak to whether or not he is at the series’ set in South Africa just yet, work is officially underway on the Vin Diesel movie, which is set to premiere at some point in 2020. This is Sam’s latest movie project following his work on The Spy Who Dumped Me, which just debuted in theaters.

In speaking on this further, there is a new interview over at Thrillist that touches more on Sam’s work in this movie, and he thinks he can play James Bond after doing some spy work on this recent project alongside Kate McKinnon and Mila Kunis:

“I think I could play any part! And obviously this is a nod to those movies, but you’d approach a straight character like James Bond with a completely different mindset. But in a way, thinking about it, Sebastian, we wanted to make his world real. We didn’t want to send it up too much, so the women were in a very real situation, so I guess there’s a bit of a transfer in that part of the character. But if I were going to play Bond, I’d ask for a much faster car! [Laughs] A bigger, faster car, and a whole lot more suits. A whole wardrobe!”
