Better Call Saul – Let’s start here with the Bob Odenkirk series, which kicked off with a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and also close to 1.8 million viewers. The viewer total is actually improved from what the series drew on average last season, even if it is down slightly from the season 3 premiere. The big caveat for now is simply this: It’s been a good year and a half almost since the show last premiered, so this was an especially long layoff. Our feeling is that getting even close to the past premiere numbers is something that is really worth celebrating.
Lodge 49 – The new series generated a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and close to 700,000 viewers. That’s decent for a new AMC series these days, but the problem here is that these shows always do tend to decline a lot in the week that follows. If the series can pull strong DVR numbers and get more attention for itself via critics, it does still have a chance.
Wynonna Earp – Here’s some good news — this past episode brought in more than 510,000 viewers! That’s a season high for the show, and this is also the first episode of the season that put it above its season 2 average. We hope that this continues since this show is really a lot of fun.
