Crime Dynamic Duos: 911 (Athena / Bobby) vs. The Blacklist (Aram / Samar)
What are the rules of the tournament? Basically, all eligible shows have to still be in the midst of their run on TV as of August 1, and at least one character involved needs to be involved in solving crimes in some capacity. They can be a cop, a private investigator, a federal agent, a lawyer or a high-ranking officer. What matters is that they put plenty of bad people away.
Voting Rules – Vote however often you like! Voting for Round 1 is open until Friday, August 10 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time. Round 2 will begin the following day; the image at the top of the article should explain everything.
In this article, we’ve got a fun competition with a new duo in one corner in Athena and Bobby of 911 facing off against a brand-new one in Aram and Samar of The Blacklist.
Athena and Bobby, 911 (#4 seed) – Athena and Bobby are one of the newest dynamic duos we’ve come to see over the past year, and what makes them so dynamic is, in part, what comes them together. The vast majority of the pairs competing this year feature two police officers; even though Bobby works for the fire department, we do think that he fulfills the same goals as almost every other character on the show: Doing everything that he can in order to help others. It also helps that he, like many others on this show, works in tandem with the police and other first responders. Hopefully, the events of the finale pave the way for some more great stuff moving into season 2.
Aram and Samar, The Blacklist (#5 seed) – Aram and Samar have been established as a romantic couple for some time now — heck, the two are even engaged now! We do root for the two of them to get married and to move towards a happy future, especially since there aren’t too many happy couples within the world of The Blacklist at the moment. Of course, from a crime-fighting standpoint we do love how versatile they are. Samar’s always been capable of tackling some of the toughest challenges that are out there in the field; Aram is now capable of joining her thanks to his training, but is still capable of excelling as an analyst with some of his computer skills at the same time.
