Suits season 8 episode 4 spoilers: Alex, stuck in the middle

Want to get some early insight on Suits season 8 episode 4? This episode may not be airing until we get around to a week from Wednesday, but it definitely looks like allegiances will be tested.

To date, much of the season has revolved around trying to determine what the new power dynamics are going to be in the firm, with Harvey Specter on one side and then Robert Zane on the other. Alex has realized that in order to become more of a player down the line, he needs to have Zane believing in him as a major contributor. That leads to him trying to do what he can in order to win him over. That’s why on this past episode, we saw him trying to win over one of his clients.

While it makes sense that Alex would want to impress Robert to get one of his old clients back, it’s possible that a combination of this and some of his other techniques to win him over could cause him to be at a crossroads. What happens when Zane wants him to do something that Harvey doesn’t like? Eventually, this season could find him at a crossroads where in order to make one partner happy, he has to betray the other. It’s something that many attorneys in his position go through, but it feels like in general, season 8 episode 4 is going to be pivotal for him.
