Chicago PD season 6 photo: First look at Anne Heche!
In case you missed the recent news, The Brave alum Anne Heche is going to be appearing throughout the upcoming season as Deputy Superintendent Brennan, someone who is entering the show with a specific agenda that she will be looking to enact over time. In what has to be some of the least-surprising news you will ever hear, there’s going to be a good bit of drama between her and Intelligence, though on the surface it does not appear as though the rivalry is as clear-cut as what you saw with Voight and Woods during season 5 of the series.
To date, Heche’s arrival is really one of the only bits of news that has come out about the season. Many of your familiar faces will be back, though, and the objective is clearly going to be trying to find a way to build up the story and evolve it further from what we’ve seen to date. This is a show that has constantly tried to reinvent on the fly, giving us timely stories while also making sure it doesn’t deviate too far from its core. Season 6 is probably going to be a pivotal one for the series judging from where things ended off last season with Olinsky gone. While we’re sure that there is going to be a time jump coming up, his memory will almost certainly still be kept alive.
Remember now that new episodes of Chicago PD are going to start airing on NBC come Wednesday, September 26, when the series is going to air as a part of a lineup that also includes Chicago Med and Chicago Fire. It’s all of #OneChicago on one night and we really hope it works.
