Cloak & Dagger episode 8 preview: Can Tandy clear her father’s name?
Cloak & Dagger episode 8 is airing next week, and if you thought tonight’s episode was all sorts of wonderful (it really was), this may just be the beginning. Next week’s “Ghost Stories” is going to serve as an opportunity to feature some more characters than who we say tonight — O’Reilly’s storyline will be coming back after taking a week off and on the other side of that, there’s also going to be a chance to see Tyrone try to get a little bit of help from her. After all, he recognizes that she is one of the most-qualified people out there to do it:
The Cloak & Dagger episode 8 synopsis offers up some more information when it comes to what lies ahead:
Tandy and Melissa prepare to commemorate the 8th anniversary of Nathan’s passing with their annual memorial tradition. When Tandy gets a key piece of information regarding her father, she uses this day to try and finally clear her father’s name. Meanwhile, Tyrone’s parents prefer not to mark the day Billy passed, but Tyrone’s need to keep Billy’s memory alive causes conflict among the three. Deciding today is the day he gets a confession out of Det. Connors, Tyrone goes to Det. O’Reilly for help.
The more that we dive into Cloak & Dagger episode 8, the likelier that it is going to be that this series finds a way to surprise us. While we think that Tandy has a good grasp now on what she needs to do in order to clear her father’s name, we do have a feeling that it will be so much harder than she realizes.
One of the things that we do especially love, both about where we are right now in the season and everything that we’ve seen to date, is that it doesn’t really feel as though Cloak & Dagger isn’t so much transfixed on villains. It recognizes that sometimes, characters can be their own worst enemies and there’s no reason to emphasize an adversary over the leads. Granted, there are still bad people, but this isn’t really a story about them.
