Outlander season 4: Where Sam Heughan will be heading next

Outlander season 3 episode 10 photos

For everyone out there eager to hear about Sam Heughan’s new project, it appears as though he could be visiting a familiar locale.

According to some new reports that are coming in via Omega Underground, the Outlander actor could be heading to South Africa in order to work on his new movie Bloodshot later this summer. is a very familiar place for him, given that he worked there previously at the end of Outlander season 3. He also has an established presence there, which stems in part from a photo shoot that he did for the country’s edition of Men’s Health Magazine.

So what appeals to him about doing Bloodshot in the midst of an Outlander hiatus? We really think that this is as simple as just getting to flex some very different muscles. This is a major action property, a comic-book adaptation with a very different audience than Outlander or The Spy Who Dumped Me, which is his movie coming out in early August. We always think that when you are a performer, there is a desire to continually do and try new things. This particular project give Sam an opportunity to do that.

Odds are, Bloodshot (which also stars Vin Diesel and Eiza Gonzalez) will Premiere at some point in 2019. Whether or not Sam can do an additional project to this during the Outlander hiatus remains to be seen, but he and Caitriona Balfe have until February to figure that out. this is one of the longer hiatuses that they’ve had in between seasons in sometime. In the immediate future, we mostly just hope that these two, plus the remainder of the cast, are getting an opportunity to unwind … largely due to the fact that there are so few opportunities to do that in the middle of the season. Outlander is a long production, and with its propensity of frequent travel, it does not offer a lot of breathing room.

Bloodshot, in addition to South Africa, has also been linked to Eastern Europe.
