Life Sentence episode 12 preview: Is someone else sick?

THE OTHER SIDE – Stella (Lucy Hale) is desperate to talk to Wes (Elliot Knight), but a problem at the bar keeps getting in the way. Trying to focus on her new job at the hospital, Stella discovers some concerning information about Wes. Peter (Dylan Walsh) and Ida (Gillian Vigman) celebrate their last anniversary in an unusual way. Meanwhile, the Abbott family comes to a standstill when someone other than Stella gets sick. Jayson Blair, Brooke Lyons and Carlos PenaVega also star. Michael Grossman directed the episode written by Oliver Goldstick (#112). Original airdate 6/8/2018.
Going into this series, one of the things that we personally expected was that at some point before the end, we were going to see Stella get sick around right when she started to think that she was going to be completely better. That’s true to life and the sort of dramatic twist that often works in series like this. Yet, you can also argue that there is something else very compelling about putting Stella in a position where she can actually care for someone else and serve as a source of comfort for some other people … depending of course on how sick this other person is. It could carry over to the finale, which could in turn have been a story for the second season in the event that the show had a chance to come back for more.
