The Flash season 5 premiere date hopes for Grant Gustin, cast
While there is no official The Flash season 5 premiere date, it’s not all that hard to narrow things down. For starters, we know for sure that there will be another season, as that was ordered a little bit earlier this year. Meanwhile, the show remains on Tuesday nights at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time — you can see a little bit more about fall timeslots and schedules over at our official Fall TV page.
Now that we’ve laid all of this information out there, remember that The CW tends to start off new seasons of some of their shows the first week or two in October. They don’t like to start earlier so that they are not airing completely opposite some other networks — beyond just that, shows tend to perform better when temperatures start to cool down a little bit. Right now October 2 and October 9 are the dates we are currently looking at and we’re more than curious to see precisely which one the network chooses — it’s certainly possible that they will throw in a curveball and not actually choose either one of them.
Since we’re talking a little bit about the future here, why not go ahead and look beyond just season 5 for a moment? The CW hasn’t officially renewed The Flash for any more beyond this but, for the time being, we remain fairly optimistic that there will be a season 6. After that, we don’t want to plan too far ahead and get disappointed if something crazy happens. Given that Arrow has made it to season 7, it’d be fun to see other shows make it there. We don’t think that all of the Arrow-verse shows are going to run for the same number of seasons but it would be certainly fun to see many of them have long runs on the air.
