Code Black season 3 episode 5 return date; the wait for season 4 renewal
We’re going to do our best to put some reminders out there into the universe for a number of different reasons, with the biggest one being that, at least for the time being, there is no official word on the status of a season 4. This is one of the few drama series that is still up in the air for CBS, and unlike Ransom, we do think that they’ll have to make a decision on it fairly soon. While it may not be on the fall schedule, the writers would need to get material together for it in the event that it comes back on the air either in the spring or summer of 2019.
Let’s start things off right now with some good news when it comes to the show’s renewal chances: It is coming off of the best rating it has drawn all season in a 0.8 in the 18-49 demographic. If it were to draw that the remainder of the season, we’d say here with confidence that it would return. It’s a pretty good return for a series airing this time of year, especially with the minimal promotion that it has gotten as a whole.
However, this is where things get tricky: When the series returns on May 30, the lead-in via SEAL Team is going to be gone. This is why we are pushing for everyone out there to watch the show live and remember the return date. If the rating starts to drop entering the summer, Code Black could be in some danger.
