Chicago Med season 4 premiere date hopes for Nick Gehlfuss, cast
Following tonight’s finale, do you have any interest in some early Chicago Med season 4 premiere-date speculation? If so, we’ve got some within!
Let’s kick things off here, though, with a quick reminder that there is, in fact, going to be a Chicago Med season 4 coming up in the future. NBC officially renewed the medical drama earlier this month and while the exact episode order was not revealed, the fact that it is on the official fall schedule (a shift from last year) absolutely makes us think that there could be at least 22 episodes.
One of the things that is most exciting about Chicago Med season 4 is that there may be more One Chicago integration than ever before. Med is going to premiere starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesdays while Chicago Fire and Chicago Med are going to follow it up. We have seen in the past epic One Chicago crossovers getting great ratings when they air on the same night; there’s a pretty strong possibility that we could see something similar here even without said crossovers.
Now that we’ve thrown the word “crossover” out there, this is obviously one of the things that we’re hoping for the most. They are a fantastic calling card with this franchise but unfortunately, we haven’t had a chance to see all that many crossovers over the years. Hopefully, this is something that producers are eager to give us a little more of now that these shows are all linked together. There’s definitely the potential to do some interesting things and if the ratings ever fall into a slump, it could prove rather valuable on the other side.
Beyond season 4, we do think that Chicago Med could have a great future. After all, this is a series that has defied the odds on a couple of occasions already. When it premiered at midseason we weren’t altogether confident in regards to its future; yet, it performed better after This Is Us than Law & Order: True Crime did.
