American Gods season 2 production teaser solidifies 2019 premiere date
The new video below features the likes of author Neil Gaiman plus Ricky Whittle and others — at the end of it, we have confirmation that the series is going to return to Starz with new episodes at some point in 2019. Given the later start to production this season, we can’t say that this is all that much of a surprise. We’ve been in the midst of a fairly-chaotic past year or so for American Gods that included the departure of showrunners Bryan Fuller and Michael Green plus also actress Gillian Anderson. Season 2 will feature a different character in New Media and to go along with that, some other new faces may also be turning up. This is going to be one of the most exciting, ambitious shows out there and the bar is set high for the second season.
American Gods is still a very important series for Starz just because it continues their association with a popular author and beyond that, features an exciting, dramatic story that is really different from something that you are seeing virtually anywhere else. If you love interesting, complex storytelling that makes you think, this is the right show for you. That’s also true if one of your big viewing prerogatives is just to find series that are enormous feasts for the eyes.
