The Blacklist season 5 finale: Who is Sutton Ross?

If you follow The Blacklist closely, then you may have heard the name Sutton Ross already in the form of an episode title. His name is the title for the season 5 finale, one that is incredibly important for a number of different reasons. This is when the full story of the bones could be finally resolved and beyond that, this could be when we get a chance to finally see the fallout from whatever ends up happening with Liz and Reddington. It’s certainly going to be huge and we’ve got a hard time thinking that anything is ever going to be the same again for the two characters after the fact.

So who is Sutton Ross, precisely? Let’s kick things off here by handing out a little more insight on that subject. According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Julian Sands is going to be playing this character, a corporate spy who excels when it comes to taking valuable research for his own. He has a serious axe to grind against Raymond Reddington ever since he believes him guilty of a major betrayal from many years in the past. He’s someone who has no problem biding his time to make a big move, and in this episode he thinks that he has an opportunity to finally strike.

For those of you who do want some additional insight, know that John Waters is going to appear in this episode as himself. Make of that whatever you will.

So what about some other news on the finale? Know that there are going to be many familiar faces who turn up over the course of the episode, but also that the series may take their time revealing who some of these people are and/or what they actually want.
