Deception season 1 episode 7: Cameron gets kidnapped by the mystery woman
ABC has released the promo and synopsis for Deception‘s special two-part event starting tomorrow at 10 p.m. Cameron and the rest of the deception team are about to tackle their biggest challenge yet, “The Sorceress with Magic Eyes”. The deception team and the FBI haven’t encountered the mysterious woman since the beginning episode, but we know she’s been keeping a close eye on Cameron.
Take a look at the aforementioned synopsis now below:
“When the Mystery Woman kidnaps Cameron, the FBI calls on Jonathan Black to help find him – and stop the Mystery Woman from committing her next crime”
If fans will recall finding this woman and what her overall plan is has been the main focus of Cameron because it’s the only way to free his brother from jail. Jonathan was wrongly accused of a crime he didn’t commit because the sorceress set him up. Buy why? Well, hopefully we will be getting some answers to that, but we can say we might be closer to finding out when she kidnaps Cameron.
What makes this episode appealing is that the mysterious woman is kidnapping Cameron so early along in the story. Typically a prolonged storyline doesn’t pull a stunt like this until things have progressed further; however, this makes us wonder where the writers plan on taking this. Surely, this won’t be the final showdown, but perhaps the mystery woman is kidnapping Cameron to try and confuse him or maybe she is so confident that she is telling him her plan because she feels he will never catch her. We’ve seen this before on shows, but again it’s not until later down the road.
The other interesting factor is that Jonathan will have his moment in the spotlight. Because he has been in jail, Jonathan has helped from afar but now he will be the one directly helping the FBI. Will they release him temporarily from prison or will the team be working out of Jonathan’s makeshift office within the prison? The promo says Jonathan will have a short amount of time in the sunshine and it’s an exciting way to go about this episode. The FBI, especially, has been growing use to Cameron and his antics, but they haven’t met Jonathan. Kay is Cameron’s partner and she hasn’t even met him so it will also be interesting to see how the two of them will interact. Could Jonathan and Kay hit it off? It’s a possibility down the road, but we can during this episode the two of them will be working together in order to find Cameron.
Overall, we are looking forward to this episode. This episode of Deception will air tomorrow at 10 p.m.
